Overview
This safari covers Aberdare national park, Lake Naivasha and Masai Mara Game Reserve.
The park is renowned for its torrential waterfalls plunging from cloud-shrouded heights to spray-filled ravines. The magnificent Karuru waterfalls, whose ice-cold crystal clear waters drop an impressive 300 meters, the spectacular Gura waterfalls which torrent from the opposite side of the same gorge, the sheer drop of the Chania waterfalls, and the enchanting Magura waterfalls which cascade across the yawning mouth of the Queen’s Cave.
Lake Naivasha, Rising from the floor of the Great Rift Valley like a monolith, is the extinct volcano of Mount Longonot. A unique feature is the thick forest that lies within the crater of the mountain. The crater rim also provides great scenic views across the beautiful Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. Major wildlife attractions at Mount Longonot include buffaloes, elands, lion, leopard, bushbucks, common zebra, giraffe, and Grant’s gazelles.
Masai Mara National Reserve is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, and hippos.
Wildebeest traverses its plains during their annual migration. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The area nearby is dotted with villages (enkangs) of Masai people
